Each tooth is made up of
three layers, the outermost layer is enamel which is very hard, white, and
slightly transparent. The second layer is dentin which is yellow and sensitive.
The last Inside there is the nerve of teeth called the pulp.
Normal tooth color -
· The
color of the teeth of children is white like milk [bluish -white (milky
-white)],
·
And
in adults, there is a slight yellowish (yellowish -white)
·
The
color of teeth becomes yellow with age, as the thickness of the first layer
enamel decreases, and due to this its transparency increases, and the second layer which is yellow starts appearing. This is the reason that teeth become
yellow with age.

Cause of internal
staining: (before eruption of teeth in the oral cavity)
1. Such as not being able to fulfill nutrition. Vitamin A, D, C
deficiency
2. Use large amounts of fluoride water for drinking.
3. Anemia
4. Liver related disease
5. Overuse of some medicines such as tetracycline or minocycline
6. Diseases related to enamel and dentin
Cause of internal staining: (after the eruption of teeth in oral
cavity)

3. Change on the tooth surface with age
4. inflammatory changes in the nerves of teeth
• cause of external stains in the teeth:
A. Non-cleaning of teeth causes plaque to accumulate on the teethB. Using tobacco, smoking
C. Excessive use of things like tea, coffee, red wine, curry, and cold drinks
D. Metallic dust also changes the color of teeth in workers working in factories.
TREATMENT :

there is any kind of habit like tobacco, tea, cigarette, all these have to be
stopped.1. Brush for 2 minutes
2. Brush 2 times a day
3. Change the brush twice every 4 months
4. Consult with dentist 2 times a year
